Description

We're currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to take charge of operations in Itasca.

In this role, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring our manufacturing processes run smoothly and our products meet the highest quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include creating and maintaining comprehensive work instructions, optimizing processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness, and overseeing operational training for our manufacturing staff.

You'll also spearhead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing costs and waste while enhancing quality.

Here's what you'll be doing:

Managing manufacturing and quality processes for our Business Machine and Storage & Organization departments, focusing on Laser Cutting and Mayflower operations.

Providing support and guidance for new start-up operations in the Itasca facility.
Overseeing internal and customer audits related to manufacturing operations.
Collaborating with engineering to validate product and manufacturing concepts through testing and confirmation of manufacturability.
Conducting training sessions to ensure adherence to work instructions and quality standards.
Driving continuous improvement initiatives using LEAN techniques to streamline workflow, minimize waste, and improve quality.
Monitoring incoming inspection activities to enhance vendor quality.
Addressing customer inquiries and complaints regarding quality issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Managing product documentation and implementing manufacturing changes as required.
Maintaining manufacturing layout drawings and supporting organizational training on the Oracle manufacturing module.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing or related Engineering field
Experience as a manufacturing, industrial, continuous improvement, or process engineer in a manufacturing environment
2D CAD experience / AutoCAD experience
Exposure to quality or willingness to learn some of the quality side
Lean Manufacturing Experience and driving continuous improvement processes
