Hotel Barrière Fouquet's - New York is looking for an experienced and responsible Guest Service Agent. As Guest Services, you will ensure the guests have a great experience.

You will exhibit a friendly and professional demeanor in all guest interactions as you document and ensure any issues are resolved.

This position reports to the Director of Front Office.

The best guest service representatives will have tremendous patience when dealing with guests and accommodate their every need with enthusiasm and poise.


Responsibilities:


  • Greeting guests upon arrival and making them feel welcomed.
  • Checkin and checkout courteously and efficiently; process all payments according to established hotel requirements
  • Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services and room location.
  • Maintain professional telephone etiquette based on hotel standards.
  • Delivering mail and messages.
  • Processing guest payments and inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
  • Reconciles all transactions at the close of each shift
  • Handling phone system, transferring calls, reservations, etc.
  • Coordinating with bell service and staff management.
  • Coordinating transportation to and from the airport and Coordinating any room changes or moves.
  • Being a source of information to guests on various matters such as transport and restaurant advice.
  • Processing meal and beverage requests.
  • Communicating important information with the previous and next shifts.
  • Have knowledge of emergency procedures and assist as needed.
  • Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate
  • Review all wakeup call requests, delivering all early morning calls, and complete appropriate shift pass on to the incoming team.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the manager.
  • 2+ years of customer service experience.
  • Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
  • Speaking, writing and reading English is required. Second language is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret and perform basic computer and POS system functions.
  • Have excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Provide proof of full vaccinations
