Overview:

Fujifilm Cellular Dynamics Inc. (FCDI) is seeking a Director, HR Business Partner.


This role will be responsible for directing all human resources functions in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics, Inc.

(FCDI). Responsible for the creation and deployment of all FCDI Human Resources policies and programs. Collaborate with stakeholders in the evaluation of HR strategy, goals, objectives and performance. Direct company-wide HR programs including but not limited to, employee relations, training, talent management, EEO/affirmative action and performance management.

Collaborate with HLUS HR functional management in Benefits, Compensation, HRIS, Payroll Administration, Corporate Training and Corporate Travel to ensure programs and processes are being administered and communicated effectively throughout FCDI.

Responsibilities

  • Establish FCDI HR strategy by balancing HLUS policy and programs with biotech industry standards.
  • Develop and implement career growth policies, processes and communications which incentivize, motivate and retain employees at all levels.
  • Establish and implement HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the firm's vision and strategy.
  • Develop, manage, and communicate HR department operating budgets
  • Function as a strategic business advisor to the executive/senior management of each business unit regarding key organizational and management issues.
  • Develop and implement plans that move the business forward while providing employees with a safe and fair working environment.
  • Employee advocate, must treat employees as internal customer with a focus on development, leveraging employee's abilities educate and motivate employees.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs which enable the workforce capability to grow in advance of the company strategy and business plan.
  • Select, develop, motivate and retain a competent staff
  • Deploy and manage HR policies, programs, laws, standards and government regulations (Where applicable)
  • Execute transactional activities as required (e.g. collaboration with regional payroll, ADP transactions, reporting, execution of rewards/recognition programs, service anniversaries, etc.)
  • Manage the annual performance review / merit process
  • Calculate, decide and communicate to HLUS benefit premium costs (annual) what EE/FCDI pay respectively health, dental, vision
  • Participate with the broader North America Regional HR team to drive core, common and consistent HR solutions such as process improvement as well as participating in other broad scale HR projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Collaborate with Centers of Excellence process experts to execute and implement HR initiatives (i.e., roll out annual programs, new programs/policies, regionwide strategic human resources plans, etc.).
  • Manage escalated and/or sensitive employment claims, discrimination charges, or related legal issues.
  • Serve as FCDI representative to FUJIFILM North America Regional HR Council with focus on aligning FCDI HR policies, procedures and business practices across the region.
  • Partner with HLUS Benefits, Compensation, HRIS, Payroll Administration, Corporate Training, DEI & Corporate Travel functional leads to ensure the services provided are meeting FCDI customer performance standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of HR trends and employment legislation
  • Consult with HLUS Legal and outside counsel as appropriate
  • Prepare reports for all levels of management
  • Conduct presentations for all levels of employees
  • Other job functions as assigned.

Required Skills/Education

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or related field
  • 10 years of relevant human resources management experience, to include 5 years at a director level in a fast growing, and high technology company (preferred).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in presenting human resources related issues, strategies, etc. to senior level executives
  • Technical proficiency with, talent management and development, business systems, and human resources related legal and regulatory environment
  • Deep knowledge of organizational design for high growth technology businesses
  • Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure in a complex and changing work environment.
  • Highest degree of professionalism, discretion and integrity.
  • Occasional overnight travel approximately <10%

Desired Skills**- Proficient in the use of MS Office suite of products.

  • Certification such as SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, CCP, GRP or related certification (preferred)
