Overview of the Product Owner:

The Product Owner plays a crucial role in aligning customer needs, technical capabilities, and business goals to ensure our products not only solve real-world issues but also exceed market expectations in terms of usability, security, and compliance. We are seeking a dedicated individual who stays updated on industry trends, regulatory standards, and emerging technologies to steer our product development towards sustainable success. Acting as the bridge between product management and development teams, the Product Owner ensures that the team's efforts align with the product vision and business objectives by prioritizing and refining the product backlog to meet customer demands and market trends. This is a versatile role, and we expect the candidate to be present at our Cary, NC office 3 days a week.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Product Owner:

Define user stories and acceptance criteria, prioritize the product backlog, and plan sprints in collaboration with the development team.
Act as the main point of contact for the development team regarding product features and requirements.
Collaborate with Product Managers to grasp and convey the product vision and strategy to the development squad.
Review product increments to ensure they align with the defined acceptance criteria and overarching product objectives.
Create and manage dashboards and reports to monitor product performance against key metrics, analyzing trends to propose necessary actions.
Lead agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory modifications, and competitive landscape to pinpoint opportunities for product distinction and market dominance, offering a technical viewpoint on how these changes influence product strategy.

Skills and Experience of the Product Owner:

More than 3 years of experience in a technical analysis or product-oriented role, preferably within the FinTech or financial services sector.
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Solid grasp of agile methodologies and principles.
Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities.
Aptitude for translating business requirements into technical specifications.
