- Develops, maintains, and grows key accounts within sales territory.
- Develops business plans and sales strategies for the market that coincide with company sales goals.
- Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to gain access to new markets.
- Responds proactively to customer needs and concerns.
- Represents the company at trade association meetings, technical seminars, and trade shows.
- Tracks all business opportunities within the Customer Relationship Management Software and provides detailed notes on activity and status of accounts.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Customer Relationship Management Software experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
- Well established organizational skills with strong attention to detail, record-keeping skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Relevant sales experience in a construction, manufacturing, or production related industry
- Relevant experience in the asphalt emulsion and/or pavement preservation industry is a plus
- Ability to travel regionally, including overnight to service the sales market. Travel time is estimated at 50% but could be more and is as much as necessary
- Ability to work in a team environment with a variety of other company employees
- Ability to work independently without close supervision
- Ability to work closely with customers and outside vendors on a regular basis
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Ability to perform work which requires frequent and regular movement of wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Ability to perform primarily sedentary work, yet occasionally exert up to 10 pounds of force
- Ability to see, hear, talk, and perform tasks requiting manual dexterity
- Ability to operate standard office equipment including a computer, copier, fax, phone and other similar office equipment

Summary
The Sales Representative plays an integral role in Russell Standard's success. They scout for new business, provide support to our existing customers and are vital to the growth and image of the company. This position will focus on growing our Pavement Preservation business. This is a remote position requiring travel to our NC plants. The ideal candidate will live within 150 miles of Black Mountain, NC and service customers in that area.
