- Oversees the consistent management of the daily operations of the OR unit in meeting the mission of the company, hospital and department, as well as supporting an environment of care to meet that mission and to comply with all regulatory requirements.
- Oversees the consistent management of variable costs items in the OR unit to meet budgetary targets.
- Serves as the central communication contact for the staff, managers, director, surgeons and all other departments, regarding issues related to the scope of the units care.
- Utilize quality improvement strategies for the OR unit to improve unit/departmental processes, and to meet goals.
- Oversees all aspects of staffing, acting in accordance with Human Resource policies and within budgetary limits, in targeted selection, in retention activities, and in providing feedback.
- Demonstrates clinical competence to practice patient care within the unit's Scope of Care.
- Demonstrates effective leadership behaviors, modeling professionalism, accountability, and the pursuit of one's own professional growth and development.
- Serves as a professional member of the OR team
- Schedule: every other weekend, 3x12, days
- One year of experience as an RN in a leadership role in a hospital-based OR, with demonstrated proficiency in leadership behaviors and management skills
- Preferred: 2+ yeas experience as an RN in leadership role in a hospital-based OR
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
