Receiving and Inventory Specialist
This is a key role in our growing logistics team.

The Receiving and Inventory Specialist is the point person responsible for the accurate recording and timely receiving of critical inbound freight.

As in any team role, effective internal and external communications will be extremely important.


Other key responsibilities include:


  • Accurately receive, inspect, and verify content of inbound freight; ensure conformity with purchase order specifications, packing/inventory slips, and content.
  • Report receiving or invoice discrepancies immediately; document and make recommendations to resolve.
  • Accurately control the flow of incoming small parcel orders, shipments, and equipment. Verify, catalog, track, and sort as appropriate, including order information, production condition, quantity, and contents.
  • Safely operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment for material handling purposes. (Must be able to pass operating and written test. Training will be provided by the company)
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, problemsolving, and analytical skills with an emphasis on calculating figures and amounts.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with management and coworkers.


AquaPhoenix Scientific considers applicants with diverse backgrounds, education, and work experience; however, applicants for the Receiving and Inventory Specialist position will frequently have a combined education and/or work experience that is a minimum a high school diploma or equivalent and two years' work experience in a shipping/receiving/logistics environment.

Advanced training or degree is welcomed.

  • Ability to maintain order and cleanliness in warehouse office, and storage areas.
  • Incorporate skills that include organization, mutitasking, problemsolving, and analytical skills with an emphasis on calculating figures and amounts.
  • Practice punctual and reliable attendance.
  • Capacity to remain physically active with the ability to stand, stoop, bend, twist for long periods of time throughout the day and be able to safely carry and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with management and coworkers.
  • Must pass background check and preemployment drug screen as a condition of employment.
