    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a Systems Administrator to support the backend administrative efforts for a comprehensive service contract with CBP (Customs and Border Protection). This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of backend systems, including workstation changes, software distribution, and patch management. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for the integration of technologies, security architecture, performance engineering, and compliance with federal policies.

    Key Responsibilities:

    System Maintenance & Support: Manage and monitor installed systems and infrastructure, ensuring system efficiency and stability.

    Software Distribution & Patch Management: Oversee software deployment processes, including distribution and patching to ensure up-to-date and secure systems.

    System Configuration & Security: Implement and maintain security structures, ensuring all systems are safeguarded against vulnerabilities.

    Disaster Recovery Planning: Develop and refine disaster recovery strategies, maintaining operational readiness in case of system outages or failures.

    Compliance and Standards: Ensure all backend activities adhere to CBP Technical Reference Models, DHS policies, and other relevant federal guidelines.

    Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Regularly analyze system performance against parameters, resolving any issues that arise and optimizing systems for improved performance.

    Required Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

    Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Systems Administrator, or similar role, in a highly regulated environment.

    Strong knowledge of software distribution and patch management systems.

    Experience with system security practices and disaster recovery planning.

    Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience working with CBP, DHS, or similar federal agencies.

    Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), CompTIA Server+, or similar.

    Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
