10:30AM - 7:00PM possible rotating Saturdays 7AM - 2PM
Business hours: 8-hour shifts M-F between 6:45AM and 7:00PM+ and Saturday 7:00 AM-2:00PM
Shifts are defined for each employee, but the ability to switch or cover when needed is a must.

Job Summary


The Clinic Administrative Services Representative is part of a team of employees who are the initial contact for patients and visitors to our Integrated Healthcare Clinic.

Knowledgeable at both registration and check-out, the Rep is responsible for all front desk activities which can include: conveying information regarding the specialties and activities of the Clinic, scheduling appointments, registering patients, or calculating and receiving payments for services.


Responsibilities:


  • Greet, direct, and check in all patients and visitors
  • Answer incoming calls
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Verify insurance benefits and communicate those benefits to patient
  • Enter patient registration information into computer system
  • Accurately calculate and collect patient payments at check out
  • Assist patients with billing inquiries
  • Research patient balances
  • Provide financial and administrative process support to Interns and Clinicians
  • Effectively communicate information regarding Clinic services
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of clinic policy and procedures
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of billing and collection procedures
  • Treat all medical records in a secure, confidential manner with the understanding of privacy policy and HIPAA law
  • Upload documentation into EHR patient charts
  • Crosstrain with Clinic Supply Dept

including:

  • Fulfilling records requests
  • Checking out equipment to Interns
  • Operation of POS System
  • Ordering lab and treatment supplies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:


Required

  • High School Diploma
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Must have a positive attitude and take initiative
  • Ability to quickly learn new computer systems and office processes**
    Preferred
  • College coursework in healthcare
  • Clinic office experience
  • EHR system experience
