We have an exciting opportunity for a
Mental Health
Therapist to join our growing organization at Mental Health Center of San Diego At MHC of San Diego, we offer a relaxed, nurturing, and productive work environment and you will be part of a passionate and dedicated team who is committed to helping people take back control of their health and happiness


As a
Mental Health Therapist at MHC, you are trained and licensed to treat clients with emotional, behavioral and mental disorders.

Our clients are dealing with issues such as stress, grief, addiction, depression or conflict.

The Clinical Therapist will also work with patients who have higher-acuity disorders, such as Anxiety, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder or Borderline Personality Disorder.


Other responsibilities include:

  • Counseling sessions including onetoone, group therapy, or sessions involving family members.
  • Observes client to detect indications of abnormal physical or mental behavior
  • Selects and administers various tests, such as psychological tests, personality inventories, and intelligence quotient tests
  • Plans and administers therapeutic treatment
  • Crisis Intervention
  • Documentation in clients' charts
  • Discuss progress towards clients' goals
  • Other duties assigned as need arises and according to programmatic need
  • Valid AMFT or ACSW license
  • Master's Degree
  • Current certification in CPR
Bonus skills for
the Mental Health Therapist position are:

  • Experience in primary mental health and dual diagnosis residential treatment facility preferred
  • CBT and evidencebased experience a plus
  • Experience with trauma and eating disorders preferred


At The Mental Health Center of San Diego, we have individualized treatment tracks with specific curriculums to match each patient's diagnosis.

It's a case-by-case basis in which our team works together to come up with the best plan of action for that patient's success.

Pay:
$75, $85,000.00 per year
