The Service Cloud Content Marketing Manager is charged with both crafting and activating our content in fresh and relevant ways, and partnering with colleagues to demonstrate organic distribution strategies that reach our target audience and drive the Service Cloud business forward.

You'll lead through influence, driving projects forward and collaborating with those not within your direct reporting lines to bring in results.

The ideal candidate understands that content success is driven by promotion in addition to the content itself. You're passionate about finding more inquisitive ways of reaching audiences.

And you are passionate about data, not afraid to dive deep to see what we're doing right or what we could be doing better.

Responsibilities

Build content: 50%

Write, edit, and curate original content for the service personas in a way that is search optimized, relevant, and informative.

Edit existing content to improve SEO ranking, readability, and relevance.
Use content of all kinds – including influencer interviews, media bylines, blog posts, brand journalism, multimedia series, learning modules on Trailhead, and long-form instructional articles – to meet content marketing goals and objectives
Interview Salesforce customers and internal experts to tell their outstanding, inspiring stories
Uphold Salesforce voice and tone in every piece of content
Collaborate with content strategists, editorial leads, product marketing, creative, campaigns, social media, customer marketing, influencers, and service leaders as key stakeholders
Meet fast-paced deadlines

Lead content promotion/activations: 50%

Develop organic content delivery strategies to help content (e.g. blogs, research reports, videos, trails) reach our audience
Understand and recommend SEO optimization approaches for individual pieces of content
Build and standardize pre- and post-launch plans to activate new content
Build relationships and collaborate with key channel owners to execute promotion plans across campaigns, web, PMM, PM, etc.
Own content and organic promotion strategy for the State of Service — our flagship report

Required Skills

5+ years experience in content creation or content marketing in a fast-paced industry
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. You're comfortable presenting to a group and collaborating with colleagues no matter their title
Experience working with remote and diverse teams across regions and departments
Knowledge of current and emerging content marketing, social media, and content delivery trends
Thrive under fast-paced deadlines and have the ability to pivot quickly when needed
Proven track record of optimizing content for organic traffic growth.
Excessively organized and prepared. Your calendar is your best friend, and while leading meetings with stakeholders, you make sure their time is well spent
Proven track record to work well with internal and external customers.
Social media skills are a plus

Preferred Skills

Experience with content and creative operations tools, such as Optimizely, and/or Wordpress
Experience with SEO / familiarity with SEO principles

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $121,800 to $167,400.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
