During this time, you will learn the following content and skills:

  • How to create, manage, edit, and plot drawings using computer-aided design
  • Types of surveying equipment and how to use them
  • Construction processes
  • Types of building materials, how to use them, and how to assess them
  • Key considerations for designing floor plans, sections, and views
  • How to use application software, convert data, define and create layers, and make drawing settings
  • How to create calculations according to building regulations
  • How to identify errors and quality defects, eliminate causes, and carry out procedures Practical part:
  • Takes place in various departments of the city administration
  • Basic training in craftsmanship at the Kreishandwerkerschaft Ruhr training center in Bochum Theoretical part:
  • Vocational school classes take place twice a week at the Walter Gropius Vocational College in
