Rogers' Consulting and Management is an Independent Living Service agency committed to improving the quality of life for adults with developmental disabilities (Consumer).

Through the Individual Personal Plan process, these individuals have chosen to live on their own or with family with the goal of moving out on their own.

Rogers' Consulting and Management (RCM) mission is to improve the quality of life for seniors, adults, and families impacted by disabilities and special needs.


We accomplish this mission through advocacy, education, community partnerships, and an array of innovative, customized services, supports, and training so that individuals can reach their full potential throughout their lives.


RCM's Independent Living Services program for seniors and adults with disabilities respects each person's right of self-determination, choice, and control.

We work to support the choices of men and women to pursue activities and work that they find meaningful, enriching, and interesting to reach their maximum potential for independence.

SCOPE:
Provides direct services to consumers; Coordinates, completes, and assessments and progress reports; Implements individual service plans. Serves as an advocate and liaison for and on behalf of the consumer. Formulates and updates reports on job coaching and job development service delivery systems.


SUPERVISION:
Receives general supervision from the Program Services Supervisor

DUTIES:

  • Assists with tracking clients' billable hours
  • Completes job observations of Educators/clients
  • Aids in reviewing Educators'/clients' progress reports
  • Supports Educators in meeting the needs of the clients
  • Fills out all required documentation at the end of each shift
  • Aids clients with timesheets and general administrative duties
  • Participates in the development of the individual services plan
  • Participates in clients' assessment, planning, and evaluation process
  • Reports special incidents according to applicable laws and regulations
  • Provides reports on client progress as outlined in the Individual Program Plan
  • Communicates with other staff and program managers about individual's progress
  • Assists with maintaining community partners related to work, resources, networking
  • Minimizes risks of endangerment to the health, safety, and wellbeing of consumers
  • Reports special incidents according to applicable laws and regulation
  • Assists with training/educating/empowering individuals with their daily living activities depending on the Individual's needs.
  • These may include:
  • Writes job support plans with clients and incorporates input from the employment team as needed.
  • Assists clients with using/understanding Work/Community Resources, i.e., SSI, CalFresh, IHSS, etc.
  • Assists with discovering clients' strengths and weaknesses and identifying what works best for them.
  • Assists clients in obtaining and maintaining employment that is consistent with their vocational goals.
  • Develops effective job coaching and training support while communicating with clients to understand their goals and ambitions.
  • Guides clients in learning to complete tasks while providing support in the development of motivation and skills.
  • Engages employer contacts to generate job openings. Employer contacts are designed for the Job Coach/Developer to learn about the needs of the business, describe the support offered by the program, and describe the client's strengths that are relevant to the position.
  • Participates in facetoface or virtual meetings with vocational rehabilitation to coordinate services for clients.
  • Conducts online research to find information, addresses and contact details to support and increase clients' work readiness opportunities.

KNOWLEDGE:


  • Knowledge of Developmental Disabilities; Regional Center (or related field) practices
  • Knowledge of resources in the Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita, San Fernando
  • Knowledge of CalJOBS, USAJobs, CalCareers, Edjoin, Indeed, Monster, ACE Program, or similar employment bulletin boards

  • Own a Smartphone
  • Own a working/functional computer with a camera for job training
