    Director of Youth & Community Learning


    SUMMARY


    The Director of Youth & Community Learning reporting to the VP for Enrollment Management, is empowered to strategize, build, and implement a cohesive suite of youth and adult enrichment programming alongside sustained community partnerships that open doors to creativity and transformation.


    The Director of Youth & Community Learning is a creative, strategic, and collaborative leader who is motivated by a twinned belief in community engagement and lifelong learning.

    Beyond leading a program of exceptional art & design programming for youth and community members, the Director of Youth & Community Learning will take a leadership role in developing, nurturing, and sustaining relationships and programs with local community institutions, schools, and civic organizations that emphasize inclusion and civic responsibility.


    This is to say:

    in order to build programs, the Director of Youth & Community Learning builds relationships that emphasize long-term, multi-directional engagement over short-term, uni-directional outreach.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following and other duties as assigned:

    Youth Learning


    • Research and sustain youth programming that is relevant and nurturing to 21st century K-12 youth needs and interests.
    • Maintain and manage College Preview, Saturday Morning Art Class, and Creative Summer workshop programming; working to grow both revenue and enrollment across programs.
    • Hire, manage, train, and mentor Instructors and student employees to deliver this programming.
    • Establish best practice models that enhance and support programming.
    • Create and maintain year-round academic and programmatic schedules.
    • Work with the marketing and communications team to message to and for youth programs.
    • Manage and lead enrollment processes; with keen attention to analyzing, evaluating and presenting data to support future program needs and decision making.
    Community Learning


    • Research, and sustain adult enrichment programming that is relevant and nurturing to 21st century lifelong learners.
    • Hire, manage, train, and mentor instructors and student employees to deliver this programming.

    Engagement


    • Research, build, and sustain innovative, collaborative partnerships with local schools. and community organizations for long-term programming that integrates across youth and community programming and serves partner needs as well as CCAD's own.
    • Collaborate with Development on grant writing and funding opportunities.
    General Duties


    • Devise, deploy, and evaluate a strategic scholarship program aimed to increase awareness and access to CCAD scholarship program.
    • Proactively communicate and effectively collaborate with campus resource offices to support and expand the reach of Youth & Community programming, including but not limited to Career Services, Enrollment Management, Development, Business, Corporate & Community Projects, and Marketing and Communications.
    • Attend/schedule/lead meetings were appropriate within the Youth & Community team, across campus and with community partners.
    • Budget planning and oversight for all programming.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Program Coordinator for Youth & Community Learning.
    • Instructors and teaching artists who deliver youth and community programming.
    • Student workers and/or graduate assistants.

    COMPENSATION:
    This position is full-time, exempt. Compensation is commensurate on experience and qualifications.
