Description

We are a high-volume ophthalmology and surgery practice with two locations (Fairfax and Alexandria) looking for a detail-oriented medical assistant with an interest in medicine and patient care.

• Reviews patient chart to ensure completeness and accuracy of information.
• Professionally assist doctors, visitors, and patients
• Performs testing required by type of exam scheduled, patient complaint and history.
• Oversees patient flow.
• Is able to take a complete medical systemic history.
• Assists with inoffice procedures ensuring proper informed consent is obtained, sets up and cleans up from procedures.
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of exam rooms during the workday
• Assists with patient education.
• Complies with all practice procedures and protocols.
• Maintains positive attitude consisting of cooperation, selfmotivation, courtesy, and professionalism.
• Greet and attend to patients in person and over the phone

• Experience as a ophthalmic technician (no certification needed)
• Ability to interact effectively and in a supportive manner
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently
• Must have computer knowledge
• Ability to multitask and work well with others in a teamoriented environment
• Must be organized and prompt
• Excellent documentation and communication

• Private practice

• Ophthalmology

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

• Fairfax, VA 22031: Relocate before starting work (required)
