    Administrative Secretary - New Orleans, United States - Tulane University

    Description
    The Administrative Secretary will perform standard and advanced secretarial duties for Sponsored Projects Administration.


    • Ability to use the Internet and various word processing, spreadsheet and database software such as Word, Excel and Access
    • Knowledge of and the ability to use various standardized office equipment such as telephones, computers, fax machines, copiers, etc.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to interact with individuals internal and external to the organization in an effective, courteous, and productive manner
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work performed
    • Ability to prioritize assignments and meet established guidelines
    • Ability to follow instructions and work independently in the completion of assigned tasks
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Two years of administrative support experience
    • Associate's degree
    • Experience in an academic setting
    • Experience with various administrative software packages(i.e., Concur, Kronos, Oracle, etc.)
