Position Summary:

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Technician for the day shift.


Responsibilities:


  • Completing assigned duties.
  • Conducting annual competency assessments.
  • Handling medication storage and security.
  • Placing and managing orders; verifying receipts.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of relevant laws and Pharmacy technology.
  • Managing pharmacy inventory and deliveries efficiently.
  • Maintaining aseptic techniques and IV procedures.
  • Keeping equipment and work areas clean and sterile.
  • Assisting in training new Pharmacy Technicians.
  • Handling medication orders and inquiries.
  • Compounding sterile products under supervision.
  • Managing drug inventory and ordering supplies.

Minimum Qualifications:


To be eligible, you must have a High School Diploma and 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician or have completed the NYU Pharmacy Technician training program.

You should have a good understanding of medical and pharmaceutical terminology, labeling procedures, and drug dispensing standards. Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills are essential. Pharmacy Technician certification is required.


Required Licenses:
Cert Pharmacy Technician


Preferred Qualifications:

Background in Healthcare administration, Computer Science, or related fields.
Experience in supply chain management in a hospital setting.
Pharmacy technician certification within 1 year of hire date preferred.

The salary for this role falls within the range of $68,000 to $69,112 Annually, with actual salaries dependent on various factors.
