POSITION:

Medical Assistant / Float

DEPARTMENT:

MA Back Office

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Medical Assistant/Float to assist in administering treatment and handling administrative tasks in our orthopedic clinic.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Carry out physician directives.
Assist all providers as a full-time medical assistant.
Request Prior Authorizations and submit referrals.
Schedule imaging orders and patient appointments.
Document patient care information accurately.
Execute prescribed treatments and interventions.
Document patient care using EMR systems.
Maintain and review patient records.
Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding a PLUS.
Collect and make available test results for review.
Other duties as assigned.
Float between provider teams as required.

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with medical terminologies and procedures.

Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure.

EDUCATION

Certificate of completion of Medical Assistant Program.
High school graduate or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum one year full-time clinical experience in healthcare as a medical assistant required.
