JOB SUMMARY


The School of Business is seeking a full-time Regional & National Recruitment Specialist (Educational Program Coordinator) for its specialized master's (MS) programs.

The incumbent will report to the MS Programs Associate Director for National Recruitment and will coordinate the day-to-day program operations of specialized master's programs, particularly focusing on providing support for regional and national recruitment; coordinating the admissions process for the School's Accelerated Business Programs; and being responsible for data management and reporting.


The primary work location is flexible and will based in either Hartford or Storrs, depending on the incumbent selected for the position.

Regular travel to either Storrs or Hartford will be required, as well as occasional travel to Stamford and other UConn campuses.

Occasional evening and weekend hours, as well as other in-state and out-of-state travel, will also be required in support of program events and activities.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting regional/national recruitment events and initiatives for School of Business specialized master's programs. Actively participating in creating and executing regional and national recruitment strategies for all specialized master's programs.
  • Attending university sponsored events across all five UConn campuses to recruit undergraduate students to the specialized master's programs. Examples of these events include classroom visits, career fairs, career expos, information sessions, open houses, and conferences.
  • In collaboration with executive and academic directors, and administrative staff, supporting the development of new and relevant initiatives for growth of the Accelerated Business Programs (ABP) portfolio. This includes identifying regional opportunities, conducting preliminary research and analytics, drafting proposals for university approvals, and assisting with implementation.
  • Serving as an academic advisor for all prospective and current ABP students. Routinely meeting with students to answer questions, creating individualized undergraduate to graduate plans of studies, and discussing program logistics (finances, experiential learning opportunities, living accommodations, etc.)
  • Collaborating with the School of Business marketing and communications team to participate in creating targeted Google ad campaigns and program collateral (ex. brochures, logos, flyers).
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for Accelerated Business Programs and supports all constituents interested in learning more about the ABP options. Building partnerships with multiple undergraduate offices to best serve students including, but not limited to, the School of Business, School of Engineering, CLAS, Honors Program, ACES, and various student clubs/organizations.
  • Supporting recruitment strategy by compiling, reporting, and assessing admissions data and trends across all MS programs, providing insights to enhance recruitment efforts.
  • Supporting the continuous evaluation of admissions policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Working directly with the Graduate School and key stakeholders to build and run data integrity queries to inform recruitment and admissions process of specialized masters programs.
  • Coordinating regional/national recruitment and yield events including activities such as securing and coordinating sponsorships, reserving and setting up rooms, coordinating catering, managing staff/faculty participation, oversight of supplies, registrations/checkin.
  • Routinely editing and updating the ABP webpage to strengthen brand awareness and digital presence.
  • Collaborating with the Director of Graduate Career & Professional Development and career coaches to track ABP students' postgraduation success.
  • Supporting the planning, development, execution, monitoring, and reporting/analysis of the annual ABP budget.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field.
  • Three to four years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills, including experience identifying, analyzing, and resolving daytoday program problems efficiently, effectively, accurately, and independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate, plan, and execute events.
  • Demonstrated excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, students, administrators, external agencies/groups, and the public.
  • Demonstrated experience in taking initiative, exercising sound judgment when making decisions, and meeting deadlines.
