Job Summary:
Responsibilities:
- Supervise yard personnel and assign daily tasks
- Ensure safe and efficient movement of materials within the yard
- Coordinate with shipping and receiving departments for timely deliveries
- Maintain inventory accuracy and conduct regular stock checks
- Operate forklifts and other equipment as needed
- Implement and enforce safety regulations and procedures
- Monitor yard activities to optimize workflow
Experience:
- Prior experience in a warehouse environment
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems like AS400
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and handle materials safely
- Knowledge of logistics operations and shipping receiving processes
- Mechanical aptitude for basic equipment maintenance
- Familiarity with 3PL (thirdparty logistics) operations
Essential Skills and Experience:
Education
- High school diploma or GED.
Training
- Computer training helpful, but not necessary.
Skills
- Verbal and written communications skills.
- Intermediate computer skills.
Experience
- Experience in production field.
- Experience with leadership.
Nonessential Skills and Experience:
- The ability to lead and motivate others.
Physical Demands
This position requires the following physical demands:
- Lifting to 25 lbs.1-3 hrs. Throughout the day
- Standing 68 hours/day
- Walking, 68 hrs./day
- Reach above shoulder level 13 hrs./day.
- Bend, Stoop, Squat, and or twistRepeatedly throughout day.
Environmental
- May be exposed to excessive noise depending on job location and operations in progress.
- Will be working around moving machinery and equipment daily.
- May be exposed to marked changes in temperature and /or humidity.
- May be exposed to dust, fumes, gases, radiation, chemical depending on the work location,
- Potentially walks on uneven ground.
- May be required to drive motorized equipment such as golf carts depending on the work location.
Pay:
$42, $55,000.00 per year
