OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a skilled Civil Foreman who will be accountable for the delivery of projects in alignment with agreed-upon scope and quality requirements.

This is a hands-on role and involves both project supervision and execution including site work, layout, grade staking, concrete foundations, paving, and pavement maintenance.

DESCRIPTION:

Accountable for project-level operations including project reporting, field execution, team member supervision and workplace safety.

• Serve as key onsite contact for clients, vendors, general contractors, and subcontractors.
• Perform pavement maintenance duties including, but not limited to, asphalt and concrete paving and repair.
• Operate equipment and tools including work truck, grinder, dump truck, tractor, loader, backhoe, asphalt roller, asphalt rake, paver, compressor, shovel, jackhammer, post pounder, sledgehammer, and hand tools.
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and clean equipment and shop as necessary.
• Make onsite project execution decisions including weatherrelated scheduling, equipment rentals, quality control, staffing levels, materials requirements, change orders, etc.
• Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites to ensure that proper construction procedures are being followed.
• Assist with the preparation and review of estimates, forecasts, budgets and change orders.
• Train, reward, and coach team members.
• Inspect work and ensure completion inalignment with scope and APC's quality standards.
• Coordinate operations with vendor(s), subcontractor(s), general contractor(s), including equipment, labor, and supplies (as required).
• Ensure crews are properly trained and adhere to traffic management, job safety, local, state, and national labor laws, and waste disposal requirements.
• Address project, client, and employee issues.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 5 years performing asphalt/concrete paving, pavement maintenance services or dirt work.
• Skilled in running all aspects of a concrete foundation, paving or pavement maintenance operation including equipment and processes.
• Must have excellent leadership and organizational skills, a sense of urgency and a natural ability to work in a fastpaced and handson environment.
• Ability to communicate in English via verbal and written. Spanish is a plus but not required.
• High attention to detail, quality and workmanship.
• Possession of a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record. CDL preferred.
• Ability to read and scale blueprints.
• Ability to work days, nights and weekends with overtime (when required).
• Ability to travel (when required).
• Ability to work under intense heat and in all types of weather.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to pass a preemployment drug screen.

Pay:
$60, $90,000.00 per year
