Summary:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise department operations in accordance with plant policies and procedures to ensure production meets sales demands, and quality and safety goals are met
Manage employees to meet the daily production demands and work schedules set by the General Manager
Assist the Assistant Plant Manager in determining and communicating work schedules including: work station assignments, training, vacations, breaks, overtime and back up absent team members
Supervise Team Leaders, Machine Operators, and General Labor positions in accordance with plant policies and procedures to ensure production, quality, and safety goals and demands are met
Operate within Kamps safety standards, ensuring a clean and safe work environment
Manage raw material and pallet inventory levels
Set daily production needs and establishes work schedules including: work station assignments, training, vacations, breaks, overtime and back up absent team members within department. Responsibility may be done independently or with the Team Lead
Responsible for Quality Control. Reject and report product outside specification
Coordinate start up, shut down, and changeover
Ensure proper onboarding and training of employees
Lead morning huddle meetings to include necessary employee information and production goals and initiatives
Assist Plant Manager/Assistant Plant Manager with department meetings
Assist production when needed
Other duties as assigned by Assistant Plant Manager or Plant Manager

Qualifications/Skills:

Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations
Must be able to meet deadlines and work well with varied personalities and ability levels
Able to lift 50+ lbs
Strong communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Pay:
$60, $80,000.00 per year
