Location Specifics:

The Budge Clinic Imaging Center, in conjunction with Logan Regional Hospital, is proud to provide imaging services for Logan City, Cache County, and the surrounding areas.

Utilizing state-of-the-art equipment, our imaging team provides X-ray, ultrasound, and DEXA services to the various specialties located at Intermountain Health's Budge Clinic.

There will be a high volume of orthopedic and sports-related injuries. The team in Imaging is a family, working very well together, along with a variety of excellent providers.


Job Essentials:

• Ensures proper patient identification and order verification and prepares the patient for the exam.
• Is sensitive to the patient's needs throughout the procedure. Sufficiently explains to the patient and family the procedure about to be performed in order to facilitate cooperation and alleviate patient anxiety. Addresses any patient concerns.
• Performs radiologic exams that produce quality images and ensures patient and staff safety. Accomplishes this by following proper protocols, correct patient positioning, appropriate and effective use of equipment, and adherence to radiation protection and guidelines.
• Utilizes sterile technique when performing invasive procedures.
• Recognizes emergent patient situations and responds quickly and appropriately.
• Thoroughly and accurately completes all required documentation, including time stamps and image storage.
• Coordinates patient care and communicates pertinent information to other patient care providers following procedure.
• Maintains a clean, neat, and safe environment for patients and staff. Ensures that supplies and equipment are stored in an organized and efficient manner.
• Pursues individual education and career development opportunities, emphasizing those for new procedures and equipment.
• As appropriate, assists and instructs students and other Radiology Techs in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• ARRT registration.
• Current Rad Tech license in the state of practice (if working in Utah).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare providers.

Preferred Qualifications:
IV certification.

Salary:
$18.76 flat rate of pay


Scope:

This is intended as a temporary position only, with the expectation that employees advance to the Radiology Tech Reg position as soon as possible.

It is expected that employees will not remain in this position longer than six months after completion of clinical hours.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a JRCERT or AMA-approved school of radiologic technology.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Current licensure as a Practical Radiologic Technician in state of practice or ARRT Board Registry Eligible.
