Description

STV's Maryland Transportation Division is seeking a Transportation Engineering Specialist to join the team.

This position offers excellent potential for career advancement as this individual would assist staff and our other offices who have a direct impact on the improvement of our local and national infrastructure.

Responsibilities include:

Providing professional design services for transportation improvement projects for the MDOT (SHA, MdTA, MTA and MPA), Baltimore City and other County/City agencies
Developing design plans including horizontal and vertical alignments, cross sections, typical sections, superelevation data and miscellaneous roadway detail sheets
Designing to adhere to ADA Standards and bicycle guidelines
Coordinating design development and providing technical skills to the design team
Coordinating with the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget, and the development of specifications, cost estimates, reports and preparing final bid packages
Assisting with maintaining relationships with client technical staff and project managers
Attending project meetings with clients, subconsultants, and the project team

Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
EIT or plans to take the F.E. preferred with goal of obtaining PE.
MDOT and municipal client experience is a plus
Ad desire to learn and support the design of progressive transportation systems
Proficient with MicroStation and Inroads/Corridor modeling design software
OpenRoads Designer experience is a plus
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with AASHTO and local agency design standards is required.
Strong oral and written communication skills

Compensation Range:
$55, $74,254.00
