    Description: Lockheed Martin is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to support the F-35 Mission Assurance team. Be a part of this amazing journey where you will develop software capabilities that protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of the F-35 air system.

    What You Will Be Doing

    In this role you will the be the Software Engineer Staff who plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.

    Who You Are

    You are a multi-faceted teammate able to communicate and function effectively on an engineering team to create a collaborative and inclusive environment that allows for the establishment of mission goals. You have experience with itemized planning and prioritization of tasks that drives the efficient execution of objectives. You will need to have Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Special Access Program Clearance.

    Basic Qualifications:


    •Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited college in an engineering degree such as a software, computer, electronics, or systems engineering


    • Experience with the C++ programming languages


    •Experience developing software on Linux

    Desired Skills:


    •Experience with software lifecycle development process and test philosophies


    •Agile Software Development


    •Experience with programming in Python


    •Experience with cryptography


    •Embedded Software experience


    •Experience with requirements based CSCI testing


    •Experience with RTOS (Real-Time Operating Systems)


    •Atlassian Collaboration Tools (JIRA)


    •Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and tools, such as Jenkins, Git, and Bitbucket


    •Experience with test automation


    •Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills


    •F-35 Program Access


    •Active Top Secret Clearance

    Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

    Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

    Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

    Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
