PreOp/PACU Nurse for Busy Cosmetic Plastic Surgery Practice - Part Time Position
Fairfax, VA


The Bitar Cosmetic Surgery Institute, is seeking a Preop/ PACU nurse for its luxurious surgery center on Tuesdays and Thursdays.


Requirements:


  • Completion of an accredited nursing program required.
  • Current state nursing licensure required.
  • BLS & ACLS certification
  • OR, Critical Care experience.
  • Previous experience in preoperative, postoperative or critical care.
  • Must have excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Plastic Surgery experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.

Duties:


  • Performs preoperative patient assessments.
  • Performs safe and individualized nursing care for the patient in the immediate postoperative/postanesthesia period.
  • Surveils patients and administers physician's orders during both the preoperative and postoperative stages.
  • Circulate in surgeries as needed.
  • Document patient surgery notes in EMR
  • Assist in setting up for surgeries.
  • Other duties as assigned by the OR nurse manager, including some admin duties.
