ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Troubleshoot welding equipment and set up and take down equipment related to the trade
  • Inspect by measuring parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Fit and weld aluminum and stainlesssteel using auto weld machine
  • Perform welds of metal parts work involves accomplishing welding that fuses different metals avoiding distortions using auto weld.
  • Weld various types of metal (aluminum, stainless steel, etc.)
  • Managing fixtures, jigs, on most welding jobs with 6S operating method
  • Regulate equipment as necessary for the work performed using a hoist system.
  • Follow Safety procedures while operating the machine.
  • Must be able to interact and can be flexible according to production demands.
  • Lift 35 lbs. on a regular basis with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to work overtime when required.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in all written and verbal formats.
  • Ability to follow manufacturing drawings and instructions.
  • High School diploma or GED years desired of similar responsibility in a mechanical manufacturing assembly position.
  • Experience working with various hand tools.
  • Must be comfortable working in a noisy environment.
Desired Skills

  • Use established powerchecking procedures and equipment to verify mechanical integrity of units assembled.
  • Perform all assignments within acceptable quantity and perfect quality requirements in keeping with assigned functions.
  • Inspect and test finished products to maintain quality standards and ensure conformance with specifications.
  • Communicate and escalate problem areas or parts shortages to ensure jobs are completed on time.
  • Perform Lean Initiatives by recommending suggestions for improvement related to quality, work processes, and environmental safety and health.
  • Actively participate and demonstrate competency in health and safety training.
  • Maintain equipment, tools, and work area per established 6S guidelines.
  • Crosstrain functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the lead.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be in a stationary position; move within the facilities, constantly operate machining equipment and tools, inspect surroundings and equipment, occasionally ascends/descends a ladder, communicate with others, detect odors, and transport equipment up to 40 pounds


Pay:
$ $27.00 per hour
