- Manage and oversee all on-site construction activities for ground-up commercial projects, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and laborers, ensuring that work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
- Monitor project progress, conduct regular site inspections, and address any issues or delays promptly to keep the project on track.
- Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on the construction site.
- Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control throughout the construction process.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality audits to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
- Address any deficiencies or non-conformities identified during inspections and implement corrective measures to maintain quality and mitigate risks.
- Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules, coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely completion of all phases of the project.
- Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to provide updates on progress and address any concerns.
- Coordinate deliveries of materials, equipment, and supplies to ensure they arrive on-site when needed and are properly stored and secured.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, inspection records, and change orders.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to project managers and clients, detailing project progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Ensure all project documentation is organized and accessible for future reference.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience (5 years) as a superintendent, with a focus on ground-up commercial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations relevant to commercial buildings.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification (preferred).
