Lyric Bar in Houston's Downtown Theatre district is looking for a seasoned bartender. Customer service should be a staple of your personality with a strong background in Craft Cocktails. If you love music, arts and theater this is a fun opportunity to get involved with.RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sincerely greets and makes eye contact with all bar guests immediately, makes beverage suggestions and answers questions regarding food and beverage service:

Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar while adhering to recipes and procedures

Effectively creates and serves drinks in a fast paced environment:

Takes records and rings all items ordered by bar guests:
-
Observes bar guests to ensure that guests are satisfied with beverages and service; immediately recognizes and responds to any guest's needs and/or requests:

Maintains cleanliness and organization of the bar work areas:
-
Adheres to and complies with all state/local liquor laws and regulations
REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to lift 40 pounds:

Must be able to constantly stand and work for an extended period of time:

Must be able to communicate effectively and listen attentively to supervisors, employees and guest:

Must have a good sense of balance, be able to bend, kneel, reach and squat on a frequent basis to obtain and store beverage items, small wares and service equipment

Must be able to operate point-of-sale equipment:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous bartending experience is preferred

Understanding of food service etiquette and ability to serve food

Must be 21 years of age

Must have or obtain an Alcohol Awareness Training Card:

Must be able to speak and understand English.
*Pay starts between $7 -$9 HR, that increases to $20 -$25 with tips
Its an exciting time to join the our bar team as we move into a new phase that includes daily programing, marketing and networking with in the community.
