Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Host/Hostess to join our team.
As a Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for providing excellent guest services, ensuring a positive dining experience for our customers.
Your role will involve greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and assisting with various tasks to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly welcome
- Seat guests and provide them with menus
- Manage reservations and waitlist efficiently
- Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries
- Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station
- Assist in setting up and clearing tables as needed
- Handle guest complaints or concerns in a professional manner
- Collaborate with the team to provide exceptional customer service
Experience:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred
- Familiarity with OpenTable and POS systems, such as Aloha POS is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with tact and professionalism
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and the ability to handle high call volumes
- A passion for hospitality and providing exceptional guest experiences
