The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Associate Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join the team in Everett, WA.The selected candidate will work safety activities in a high-risk environment.
This role supplies to regulatory compliance, high hazard operations, and committed safety goals.The safety specialist position will support the Everett Site and will lead workplace safety activities in a higher risk environment requiring additional focus on injury reduction.
Position Responsibilities:
Supports the planning, implementation and assessment of occupational health and safety programs and processesDrafts health and safety programs that provide consistent approaches to risk reduction and compliancePartners with manufacturing teams to investigate incidents, assess workplace hazards, and resolve safety concernsSupports in providing training and instructionsEvaluates the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operationsPlans and conducts health and safety auditsThis position is expected to be 100% onsite.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher in a safety related field (Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Toxicology, Bio-Engineering, Public Health, etc.)1+ years of experience performing Occupational Safety and/or Industrial Hygiene duties in an industrial environmentPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):1+ years of experience with safety processes and procedures in a manufacturing environment1+ years of experience managing projectsExperience related experience performing Occupational Health and Safety risk assessmentsExperience developing and implementing process improvementsTypical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g.
Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.
Master, 6 year's related work experience, etc.).Relocation:
