    Facilities Technician Duties Include:

    As a Facilites Technician you perform preventative maintenance on building systems, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and control systems and related components. Repairs and maintains a variety of facilities systems, components and structures; repairs building plumbing, low-voltage, door hardware, fire and life safety protection equipment/systems, fans, lights and related systems.

    Maintains HVAC units; cleans and inspects all equipment, completes filter changes.

    Performs service and preventative maintenance on automotive vehicles; troubleshoots equipment problems and identifies when appropriate for external service provider to make repairs or perform warranty work.

    Identifies repair and maintenance projects requiring the assistance of contractors or vendors; participates in estimates and evaluations of project costs; monitors work of vendors or contractors; assists in the review of new construction or remodel plans to assure compliance with facility maintenance standards.

    Responsibilities Include:

    Performs drywall/plaster repair and painting tasks as needed to maintain the appearance and functionality of the building interior and exterior

    Assembles and relocates furniture according to the needs of the organization or staff requests

    Changes lights and/or fixtures to ensure adequate lighting and energy efficiency throughout the facility

    Performs plumbing repairs, replacements, and installations to fix leaks, clogs, or other drainage problems and restore full use of water fixtures

    Conducts carpentry repairs and installations with hand and power tools to handle basic repairs around the building such as window, door, or wall repair

    Fixes minor electrical devices or wiring issues to avoid safety hazards and ensure proper functioning of appliances and equipment

    Conducts facilities safety inspections to identify and fix potential hazards and comply with OSHA and other local, state, and federal regulations

    Inspects and repairs concrete and asphalt paving on the facility grounds to prevent cracks, potholes, or other damage

    Maintains the grounds and security systems of the facility, such as fencing, gate arms, and gates, to ensure a clean and safe environment

    Maintains tools and equipment in clean, safe, working order and reports any malfunctions or damages

    Adheres to all safety requirements and wears proper Personal Protective Equipment when performing maintenance tasks

    Responds to emergency situations to ensure employee and facility safety and minimize damage

    Complies with the organizations policies and procedures

    Builds relationships and demonstrates a high level of cooperation with staff, vendors, contractors, and visitors

    Maintains appropriate records and reports of maintenance activities and projects

    Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager

    Qualifications:


    • The ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds


    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)


    • 2 years facility maintenance experience

    • Valid Driver's License is necessary


    • Willingness to work extraordinary hours and jump tall buildings in a single bound when required

    This is a part-time, on-site position in NE Portland.

    Compensation for this position DOE. You will receive vacation, paid holiday days; paid sick time; gated employee parking; cell phone stipend; company-paid outings.

    Position requires sitting or standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 100 pounds, extensive use of a computer, driving an automobile and personal automobile available for business use (mileage is reimbursed), non-compete agreement and non-disclosure agreement
