We seek an individual to join a highly motivated team in selflessly advancing The Association of Former Students' noble mission by supporting our Gift Processing team with excellence, attention to detail, and premier customer service.


DUTIES

Performs essential clerical gift processing duties, word processing, data entry, research and customer service duties for departmental staff:


  • Opens, sorts, codes and scans mail in preparation for posting checks.
  • Modifies constituent records in database, if applicable as indicated on gifts.
  • Posts constituent checks to database.
  • Scans and deposits all checks using Remote Desktop Capture.
  • Scans credit card gifts.
  • Scans Matching Gift forms.
  • Pulls and saves reports for matching Electronic Fund Transfers (EFTs) and matching checks from the various matching gift companies. Codes EFTs and checks by looking up constituent and organization identification numbers and designations.
  • Posts matching gift EFTs and checks to database, including both constituent funds and matching gift funds.
  • Maintains accurate recordkeeping during posting of gifts to ensure department reconciliation.

Participates in and provides input on various Association-wide activities:


  • Actively contributes toward efforts to achieve our culture, engagement, and fundraising goals.
  • Provides onsite event support for Board and Leadership Council meetings.
  • Participates on internal event teams and task committees.
  • Participates in Association events, including Aggie Muster, Aggie Ring Day, All-Aggie Grad Party, All-Aggie Hullabaloo, Distinguished Alumni Gala, Reunions, Pass It Back Day, Thank an Ag Day, gameday receptions, and others as required.

Serves as an ambassador for The Association:


  • Meets our Team Expectations.
  • Supports The Association's marketing, communications, and branding initiatives.
  • Fosters relationships with students, former students, faculty, staff, and friends of Texas A&M.
  • Attends external events on behalf of The Association, if directed.

Required:

Strong commitment to the vision and mission of The Association of Former Students, with the ability and desire to advocate for the organization and Texas A&M University.

Willingness to work during periods when the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center is open but school is not in session. Professional attire and behavior.


EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

Required:

Current or incoming student enrolled at Texas A&M University or Blinn College. A year of experience in varied office clerical work.


Preferred:

Current or incoming student enrolled at Texas A&M University or Blinn College with ability to serve in this position for a minimum of two years (due to amount of training involved).

Average working knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word and Outlook, as well as Adobe PDF and Salesforce. Business courses at high school or college level. One year of experience in accounts receivable or cash receipts recognition.
