Job Overview:

The expectation for this individual is to support the Assistant General Manager to meet Board goals and objectives.


Compensation:
$70K - $75K a year

  • Responsible for bidding, overseeing and completing assigned SAMLARC Capital and Reserve Projects.
  • Implementation coordination includes bidding to approved specifications, ensuring Board approval of contract, coordinating vendor commencement of work, review of work in progress and authorizing appropriate payment authorizations.
  • Ensure contractors adhere to specifications and work is completed in accordance with SAMLARC standards and contract documents.
  • Develop with the Assistant General Manager the Annual Capital and Reserve Projects Master Plan and implement and follow through on the plan.
  • Responsible for working with the Assistant General Manager in the development of the Annual Reserve Study.
  • Responsible for maintaining positive relations with key contractors, seeking new contractors with applicable expertise to bid on proposed projects and researching and making recommendations related to new product technologies.
  • Coordination of construction projects with public and private agencies.
  • Align resources as necessary to meet clientservicing needs within budget.
  • Work in conjunction with the Assistant General Manager for Board packet agenda items and compilation. Prepare complete and accurate Board Reports and associated exhibits. Review reports prepared by subordinate staff. Attend Board meetings and present reports as appropriate.
  • Prepare for and colead with the Assistant General Manager the Landscape and Facilities Enhancement Committee Meetings to move forward projects assigned to the Committee by the Board of Directors. Prepare complete and accurate Agendas, Committee Reports and associated exhibits. Present reports at the meeting.
  • Ensure specifications are in place for ongoing maintenance of new or renovated facilities. This includes preventative maintenance programs, schedules and checklists.
  • Attendance and support at client community events as assigned.
  • Attend all company mandatory functions.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Project administration and field coordination and any other job functions that may be required that aligns or expands itself within the noted categories.
  • Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards.
  • Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.
  • Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.
  • May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.
  • Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.
  • Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.

  • Have knowledge of contracting procedures from RFP to contract closeout, including followup preventative maintenance program.
