• Highschool diploma, associate degree, or bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience working with individuals with mental health or behavioral health challenges
• Knowledge of mental health counseling techniques and interventions
• Familiarity with crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols
• Understanding of addiction counseling principles and practices
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Knowledge of community resources and services for individuals with mental health needs
• Experience with motivational interviewing techniques
• Ability to provide mentoring and guidance to individuals in need of support
