    GENERAL SUMMARY:Thisposition currently reports to the Associate Dean of the School of Arts,Sciences & Health (SASH)** and provides operational leadership and supportfor the IT programs, its personnel, students, and services. Programs of studyprovide for AS, AAS, and BT degrees within the field of InformationTechnologies.

    PRINCIPALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Providedaily oversight and supervision of all IT instructors.
    • Assist with the evaluation and development offaculty in the IT programs.
    • Promote and advance accessand community impact initiatives that serve all students for improvedaccess, learning, and success in information technologies.
    • Foster collegiality and positive morale.
    • Promote and supportacademic innovation and excellence.
    • Assists with the collaborative development andfulfillment of short- and long-term strategic priorities for the ITprograms.
    • Collaborates with the Associate Dean and Deanto adjust policies, procedures, and initiatives appropriate foraccomplishing IT priorities.
    • Oversee theassessment of student learning vis--vis the expectations of the program'saccreditation and governing entities.
    • Support specialized and institutionalaccreditation initiatives, specifically ABET accreditation.
    • Serve asMicrosoft Azure administrator for IT program maintenance and IT courseworksupport.
    • Foster andmaintain collaborative relationships with industry representatives andpartners.
    • Assist the AssociateDean with the day-to-day monitoring and management of IT program resourcesto ensure appropriate and optimum utilization.
    • Assist with the pursuit and acquisition of extramuralresources.
    • Maintain accuraterecords relative to all program and School interests.
    • Ensure safe work and learning environments.
    • Serve oncommittees as requested.
    • Representthe program, School and University in appropriate professional andcommunity organizations and related activities.
    • Coordinateand communicate program activities with the Associate Dean and Dean, and otherunits as appropriate.
    • Fulfill other responsibilities to meet theneeds of the program, School and/or OSUIT.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Should possess thecredentials necessary to qualify as a faculty member for one of theSchool's programs; graduate degree(s) highly preferred. Individuals withalternate combinations of credentials and/or experience may be considered.
    • A history ofdemonstrating ethical and professional behavior.
    • Two or more years ofprogressive experience in collaborative management and leadership;experience in higher education administration preferred.
    • Postsecondaryteaching experience preferred.
    • Demonstrated successin collaborating with diverse constituencies.
    • Ability to plan,organize and fulfill complex initiatives.
    • Knowledge of andexperience in working with technology.
    • Ability to researchand interpret federal, state and institutional policies.
    • Understanding of theopportunities and challenges facing higher education; comprehension ofland-grant colleges and universities preferred.
    • Ability toeffectively engage community and industry leaders and alumni.
    • Ability to maintainhigh standards of work, initiative, commitment, ethics, professionalresponsibility, and judgment.
    • Understanding ofqualitative and quantitative data analysis, budgeting, and reporting.
    • Ability to workeffectively with and promote diverse populations.
    • Superior interpersonalskills-including the ability to effectively recognize and resolve complexproblems in a constructive manner.
    • Must demonstrate excellent oral andwritten communication skills.
    • Must possess excellent interpersonalskills, exercise decorum in all interactions withstakeholders,and be able to effectively recognize and mitigate conflict.
    • Valid Oklahomadriver's license.
    • Ability to work some evenings and weekends, as needed.
    • Travel required.
    • Normal office physical environment; ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
