Summary of Position


We're looking for someone to tackle unique challenges, craft valuable solutions, and make a rewarding impact alongside the most talented people in the real estate industry.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Real Estate Education will partner and creatively collaborate with staff and volunteers across the organization to maximize our educational opportunities and resources offered to students, while cultivating impactful relationships with educational institutions and corporate partners across the country.


Responsibilities

  • Partner with Executive Director and volunteer leadership to lead and execute the following real estate initiatives throughout the year: Career Day (Fall), Real Estate Challenge (Spring), Mentorship Program (Ongoing), Scholars Program (Ongoing)
  • Act as staff lead/liaison for the following volunteer committees: Real Estate Education Committee, Faculty Advisory Committee, Student Advisory Committee, Career Day Committee, Real Estate Challenge Committee
  • Build a pipeline of volunteers across all real estate industry sectors to increase reach and awareness for suite of programs.
  • Develop university recruitment plan, to increase student and university involvement in our programs.
  • Work with Executive Director to identify funding prospects to amplify and support our programs.
  • Develop and execute internal and external communications strategy for programs, including, but not limited to, building a database of testimonials and relationships from current and former students impacted by our programs.
  • Provide regular reports to the Executive Director, Executive Committee and lead volunteers on progress, trends, metrics, analysis for our real estate programs and history.
  • Ensure all volunteers, committee members and donors feel valued, appreciated, and acknowledged in a timely manner

Desired Skillsets & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 35 years of work experience (real estate, education and/or nonprofit preferred).
  • Proven experience managing and growing an educational program.
  • Selfstarter and desire to network and build strategic external relationships and partnerships
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to navigate relationships and build consensus
  • Strong writer and effective communicator
  • Goal and data driven with strong organization and follow through with tasks and communications
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint and excel, Outlook, Gmail, Google sheets and docs, social media
  • A cheerful disposition, a sense of humor, and capacity to remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to tackle the physical aspects of organizing and executing events
  • This position will include some evening meetings and events throughout the year

  • Must have access to a reliable vehicle to travel to office, meetings and events, and/or meet with volunteers and donors.

Compensation and Benefits
The Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation offers a compensation package commensurate with experience. Work/life benefits include but are not limited to a competitive healthcare package with BCBS IL and Simple IRA. The Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation is an equal opportunity employer.
