Basic Job Functions:The Waste Water Technician is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Vulcraft Texas waste-water treatment system and all related equipment


Daily responsibilities include:
Data entry and maintenance of all electronic records related to the operation.

Waste-water treatment and chemical/hazardous waste handling and Inspections.

Maintaining, repairing, and replacing:
pumps, filters, valves, filter press, couplings, bearing/seals and other equipment.

Preventive and predictive maintenance.

Collecting water samples and reviewing laboratory analytics.

This position requires occasional travel to other Nucor locations.


Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Basic Microsoft Office computer skills
• Experience working with hazardous chemicals in an industrial setting
• Minimum of one year handson experience in a wastewater operation

Preferred Qualifications:

• 35 years of experience with wastewater plant operations.
• Associates degree or Certification in wastewater.
• Experience with operation and repair/maintenance of pumps.
