- Maintain and promote a strong Safety Culture emphasizing Food Safety and a safe work environment following our 5 Principles.
- Uphold Food Safety Practices, ensuring SQF certification is maintained through compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Quality Procedures, SQF requirements, and good housekeeping standards. Be prepared for inspections and tours at all times.
- Assist in the plant's SQF certification program and ensure compliance with QA policies and procedures while providing feedback to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Coach and develop QA Technicians to effectively monitor and validate plant quality processes and procedures.
- Focus on enhancing our Quality at the Source program, ensuring its effectiveness and encouraging Processing and Packaging Team Members to conduct quality checks.
- Communicate effectively between departments to identify and resolve production process issues.
- Provide regular reports and feedback to management to keep them informed of business details.
- Undertake various duties as instructed by the Quality Assurance Department Manager to uphold corporate standards in food safety, quality, and facility cleanliness.
- Lead by example in promoting a culture of Safety and maintaining a safe work environment, holding managers and supervisors accountable for safety measures.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and hygienically.
- Adhere to all Ken's Foods SQF, Food Defense, and GMP policies.
- Promptly report any suspicious activities in or around the plant.
- Delegate and mentor team members to conduct pre-start up inspections to prevent product contamination risks and maintain sanitation.

JOB TITLE: Quality Control Supervisor
As a Quality Control Supervisor at Ken's Foods, you will be responsible for developing and coaching a team of QA Technicians. Your main focus will be to oversee the Plant's Quality Control and Quality Assurance programs to ensure compliance with company and government procedures. Here is a summary of your role and responsibilities:
FOOD SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly manage employees in the Quality Assurance Department, overseeing their work and offering leadership in line with organizational policies and laws. Responsibilities include hiring, training, assigning work, performance appraisals, coaching, and resolving complaints.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
To succeed in this role, candidates must be able to fulfill each essential duty effectively. The requirements include:
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in Food Science or equivalent field; or one to two years of relevant experience; or a suitable combination of education and experience.
Employment with Ken's Foods is subject to passing a drug test, background check, and pre-employment assessment.
