    Description

    Job Overview:

    As a Technical Operations Manager, you'll provide support to the management team, Board of Directors, and residents through your knowledge and expertise of project duties involving engineering, mechanical systems, project management, construction, and code compliance. This opportunity is available in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. Your Responsibilities:
    • Work closely with unit owners on in-unit renovations by reviewing construction plans and ensuring compliance with the construction rules and regulations.
    • Lead all minor and capital repair projects, including communication with vendors and onsite engineering team.
    • Review all maintenance agreements for the proper scope of services and to ensure compliance with all contractual requirements.
    • Monitor the automated building system and follow up on any changes or adjustments required.
    • Act as a liaison in a number of fashions, including but not limited to, the Facilities and Energy Committee, City of Chicago departments, and Alderman for various matters, including special or major capital repair projects, and code and building matters.
    • Take lead on electric vehicle outlets in the garage as well as communication with unit owners regarding same.
    • Manage all leaks, to include oversight of the mitigation and restoration efforts as well as communication with the unit owner over insurance responsibilities and insurance carrier claim handling.
    • Works closely with General Manager, Engineering, Maintenance and Janitorial Teams for facility maintenance concerns and in-unit work ticket matters.
    • On call support to General Manager and Engineering Staff in the event of building emergencies.
    Skills & Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university.
    • Three years of experience in property management or project management preferred.
    • Works effectively with coworkers, clients, customers, and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; addresses problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions.
    • Must possess a high energy attitude and an ability to multi-task/prioritize different projects at any given time.
    • Superior oral and written communication skills.
