Create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere to ease any anxiety young patients may have about dental visits.
Greet and prepare patients for dental procedures, helping them feel comfortable and at ease.
Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and procedures by providing the necessary instruments and materials.
Coronal Polish and take digital dental xrays, ensuring proper positioning and image quality.
Help manage and maintain a clean and organized dental treatment area, ensuring all instruments are sterilized and ready for use.
Educate children and parents about proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary habits.
Support the dentist in managing and recording patient information, treatment plans, and clinical notes accurately.
Provide chairside assistance during procedures, keeping patients comfortable and informed.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe and sterile environment.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop effective treatment plans for patients.
Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry and implement best practices into daily routines.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred.
DANB xray certification.
Experience working in a pediatric dental setting is a plus but not required.
Excellent communication skills, especially when interacting with children and parents.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in helping young patients have positive dental experiences.
Familiarity with dental software for charting and recordkeeping.
Knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
