  • Create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere to ease any anxiety young patients may have about dental visits.
  • Greet and prepare patients for dental procedures, helping them feel comfortable and at ease.
  • Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and procedures by providing the necessary instruments and materials.
  • Coronal Polish and take digital dental xrays, ensuring proper positioning and image quality.
  • Help manage and maintain a clean and organized dental treatment area, ensuring all instruments are sterilized and ready for use.
  • Educate children and parents about proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary habits.
  • Support the dentist in managing and recording patient information, treatment plans, and clinical notes accurately.
  • Provide chairside assistance during procedures, keeping patients comfortable and informed.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe and sterile environment.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to develop effective treatment plans for patients.
  • Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry and implement best practices into daily routines.

Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred.
  • DANB xray certification.
  • Experience working in a pediatric dental setting is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially when interacting with children and parents.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in helping young patients have positive dental experiences.
  • Familiarity with dental software for charting and recordkeeping.
  • Knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
