    Description:

    GENERAL SUMMARY:

    Join our team as a Registered Nurse providing individualized, high-quality nursing care to patients of all ages. Utilize a team approach to delegate and coordinate patient care throughout their hospital stay. This position requires independent delivery of nursing care following established protocols and ethical standards.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Administer nursing care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
    • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and families.
    • Participate in educational activities to enhance clinical knowledge and professional development.
    • Provide patient education and counseling to address health concerns.
    • Utilize hospital information systems for data processing and retrieval.
    • Maintain knowledge of equipment use and emergency response protocols.
    • Comply with regulatory guidelines and recommendations.

    MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Assist with clerical duties and maintain patient care supplies.
    • Conduct orientation and education sessions for staff and students.

    MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

    • Valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Iowa.
    • Basic Life Support certification.
    • Completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training.
    • Proficient in the English language.
    • Participate in Performance Improvement projects.
    • Attend departmental and assigned meetings.
