The Institute for Human Factors and Technology Management IAO in Stuttgart works on national and international research and consulting projects.

How will people work and live in the future? How do technologies, such as generative AI, transform companies and organizations? Scientists at Fraunhofer IAO research these and similar questions.

Our goal is to systematically optimize the interaction between humans, organizations, and technology, and to develop strategies, business models, and solutions for digital transformation together with our partners.


We are looking for a motivated scientific referent to join the team of the institute director, Prof. Dr.

Katharina Hölzle, at Fraunhofer IAO and the Institute for Human Factors and Technology Management (IAT) at the University of Stuttgart.

The teamwork offers exciting insights into applied research and current research topics in human factors, technology and innovation management, and digital transformation.

The work provides interesting insights into the strategic and operational activities of a Fraunhofer institute director.
