Job Summary and Qualifications
The ultrasound technologist operates ultrasound equipment to make quality images of designated portions of the body under the direct order of a physician and in accordance with standard operating procedures.
The Advanced Ultrasound Technologist may be required to perform invasive and non-invasive procedures on a variety of patients, utilize sterile techniques and assist physicians as necessary throughout the Mission Health System.
The Advanced Ultrasound Technologist must routinely work within a minimum of 3 qualifying ARDMS specialty certifications in addition to ARDMS, ARRT or CCI Vascular certification as directed by department managers/supervisors to meet the specific needs of the departments.
This includes but is not limited to; Abdomen (AB), Breast (BR), Fetal Echo (FE), Neurosonology (NE), Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) or Pediatric Sonography (PS).
