    POSITION SUMMARY
    The Facilities Management Department of Dallas College ensures the efficient operation of the College's physical assets across multiple locations in Dallas County. The Journeyman Plumber position involves skilled craftwork in plumbing.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    • Experienced journeyman plumber with exceptional diagnostic skills
    • Ability to install and maintain plumbing systems safely
    • Knowledge of state laws and regulations
    • Proficient in reading blueprints
    • Strong work ethic and organizational skills
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Ensure high-quality Plumbing work at all Dallas College locations
    • Troubleshoot and resolve Plumbing issues
    • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures
    • Maintain inventory of plumbing supplies
    • Provide safe and healthy buildings for Dallas College community
    • Assist other facilities management teams
    • Complete required Professional Development training hours
    • Perform other assigned duties

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    Requires various physical activities including sitting, standing, walking, lifting, etc. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with physical challenges.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    • High School Diploma or equivalent and Licensed Journeyman Plumber
    • Five (5) years of related experience
    • Ability to work extended hours including nights and weekends
    • Valid Texas driver's license required
