    Job Description and Duties

    Applicants who previously applied in response to Job Posting JC with the final filing date of 01/29/2024 do not need to reapply; your application will be considered for this recruitment.

    This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.

    Under the direction of a Mailing Machines Supervisor I, the incumbent sets up and operates postage meter machines, inserters, scales, joggers, and makes minor machine adjustments; verifies that all mailing materials are processed accurately; maintains accurate and legible daily production records; and completes forms for Postal Service billings.

    The position(s) being advertised may be subject to allocation approval by the Human Resources Branch. Fingerprint/Criminal Record Clearance is required before hire. The Salary Range shown is the minimum and maximum for a full-time appointment. Moving and relocation expenses will not be reimbursed for this position.

    Working Conditions

    Work hours are from 7:00 :00
    The incumbent gathers and loads mailing materials into mail trays; lifts mail trays weighing up to 50 lbs. into mail cages; pushes and pulls mail cages weighing over 150 lbs; and transports mail cages to and from a receiving dock.
