Job Title:
Lifeguard

Location: 24 Hour Fitness at East Northport

Position Type:
Part-Time

Shift Availability:
Saturday Morning (8:45am - 2:00pm) & Weekday (2:00pm - 9:00pm)

We are seeking a vigilant and certified lifeguard to join our team at 24 Hour FItness.

As a lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all patrons in and around the aquatic facility.

Responsibilities:

Monitor swimmers and ensure their safety by enforcing all pool rules and regulations.
Respond promptly and effectively to all aquatic emergencies.
Administer first aid and CPR as needed.
Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure cleanliness and safety of the pool area.
Conduct regular inspections of the pool and surrounding areas to identify any hazards.
Communicate effectively with patrons regarding pool rules, safety procedures, and emergency protocols.
Provide exceptional customer service to all guests, addressing any concerns or inquiries in a courteous manner.

Requirements:

Current lifeguard certification from a recognized organization (e.g., American Red Cross, YMCA).
Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
Strong swimming skills and endurance.
Excellent observational skills with the ability to identify potential hazards.
Ability to remain calm and composed in highpressure situations.
Effective communication skills.
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Must be available to work the specified Saturday morning shift (8:45am 2:00pm) and a weekday shift (2:00pm 9:00pm).

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous lifeguarding experience.
