Description

We are looking for you for the 3-year training as a railway operator in train traffic control (m/f/d) for DB InfraGO AG at the Göttingen or Hameln location.

The vocational school is located in Burgdorf (near Hanover).

With this training, you will become a coordinator for our trains. Instead of being on the train, you will be in a control center (called a "signal box"). We have countless signal boxes throughout Germany.

Using screens or boards, you can monitor the trains in your area and use buttons, keys, and levers to influence their journey.

With the push of a button, you can set signals (traffic lights for the trains) to green or red and also switch tracks so that the trains can change tracks.

You will also have many other tasks that make you the most important team member for the train drivers. You will be in constant contact and exchange information, for example, about changes during the journey.

With your small team, you will work in the greater Hanover area at a signal box close to the action.

Here, you will see the trains passing by. The trains are usually controlled using levers, buttons, or rotary switches.

With your large team of around 40 colleagues, you will work in the control center on an electronic signal box.

At your workplace, you can track the trains on many screens and control train traffic with the click
