- Apply the nursing process to recognize patient requirements for continuous PACU assessment.
- Record and assess the efficiency of nursing interventions and ensure a secure care environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to assure uninterrupted care.
- Deliver post-surgery education to patients, sustain a sterile and secure surgical setting, and observe the patient's overall well-being during the surgical care process.
- Monitor patients for status alterations and signs of conditions like respiratory depression, implementing fitting measures.
- Completion of an accredited RN program
- Minimum 1 - 2 years recent experience in ICU, Critical Care, or PACU
- California RN state license
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification within 6 months of employment or transfer to the role
- PALS Certification within 6 months of employment or transfer to the role.
- Capability to participate in On-Call duties and work rotating weekends and holidays

As an RN in our PACU, you play a crucial role in the post-surgery patient experience. From ongoing assessment to ensuring patient safety, comfort, continuity of care, and post-surgical education, you will have the chance to cater to a sizable and constantly changing patient population.
Whether you are in phase 1 tending to trauma and critical care patients or in phase 2 preparing them for discharge home, your contribution will be significant here. With 28 PACU bays handling both urgent trauma cases and scheduled procedures, your day will be far from routine. Embracing a diverse patient base and a wide range of care services, you will be pushed to enhance your skills - with the full backing as you progress.
Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is the primary hospital of Community Medical Centers - a non-profit healthcare system located in Fresno, California, and the foremost healthcare provider and private employer in central California.
