SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Montessori Academy Director, Administrators, and Coordinator, the Office Manager is responsible for providing administrative support, center support, and family support.

Performance is reviewed continuously with specific goals and objectives identified throughout the year. This is a full-time non-exempt position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Administrative Support:

  • Strong organizational, written and communication skills; and the ability to provide attention to detail.
  • Acts as the first point of contact for all guests contacting the office
  • Answers phones; responds to walkins, and directs messages to the appropriate person(s)
  • Maintaining accurate children's records as required by law and licensing policies.
  • Assist with recruitment, training, and evaluation of teachers.
  • Meet with other administrators, parents, and community organizations.
  • Assisting with academy communications and scheduling meetings, training, and events.
  • Assisting with center site audits and preparation of center reporting.
  • Collects inbound mail and sends outgoing mail daily.

Academy Support:

  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and a willingness to participate fully in the team process.
  • Work actively with teachers to maintain high curriculum standards.
  • Visit classrooms, observe teaching methods, and take pictures of students while working on different activities.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift a child who weighs up to 40 lbs.
  • Maintain a full inventory of supplies.
  • Providing classroom support as needed.

Family Support:

  • Conducting intakes for families enrolling children in the academy.
  • Ability to establish a relationship with parents and children.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • One (1) year of experience working in a child care center, including administrative and supervisory responsibilities
  • Pass a Live Scan fingerprinting clearance, a physical examination, provide proof of the following immunization: TDAP, MMR, Flu, and a negative results from a TB test.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Certification in CPR and Mandated Reporter Certificates.
  • Must have a valid CA driver's license and a working car.
  • Knowledge with ProCare Software (not mandatory, but nice to have)

Pay:
$ $26.00 per hour
